Dr. Kevin Dale Schramm:  Dr. Kevin Dale Schramm was born and raised in Cedar City, Utah.  He received a B.S. in biology/zoology from Southern Utah University in 1992.  He entered Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1997. He is also a graduate of the CSU Medical Acupuncture Course in 2006. His interests include surgery, dentistry, preventative medicine, and pain control.

During his time at CSU, he met and married one of his classmates, Adrienne. Kevin and Adrienne never left the Fort Collins area. They have been serving clients in the Fort Collins area since 1997. It all started with a mobile practice out of the back of their pickup and it has evolved into Paws 'N Claws.

Kevin enjoys any outdoor activity such as camping, fishing, hunting, and motorsports. He has a son from a previous marriage, and two grandsons.  He and Adrienne have a daughter and three more sons.  Kevin and his family have a pet Ball Python named Reggie, a turtle named Sandy, a Chocolate Lab named Dutch, a Black Lab named Billy, and many fish. They currently reside in Wellington, Colorado.


Dr. Adrienne Schramm:  Dr. Adrienne Schramm was born and raised in the Bay Area, California. During her high school years, Adrienne also attended a nearby college and graduated high school in 1981 with an A.A. degree. Adrienne then attended the University of California at Riverside and graduated in 1983 with a B.A. in music. In 1984, she entered the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, acquiring a Bachelor of Music in voice performance in 1988 and a Master of Music in the same subject in 1990. Adrienne then made a career change and entered Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1993, receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1997.

Adrienne's hobbies include music, photography, karate and spending as much time as possible with her family.

Dr. Elton West:  We are excited to officially welcome Dr. Elton West back to the Paws N' Claws Veterinary Clinic team! After working at Paws N' Claws for years as a veterinary technician, he is rejoining our team as a Veterinarian. Dr. West is originally from New Mexico, but has called northern Colorado home for the past 13 years. He and his wife, Nicole, have three children. He loves providing care for all animals, but has a special place in his heart for small breed dogs. Dr. West is committed to providing the best care for all of his patients. He is excited to meet you and your pets, so call and schedule an appointment soon!

He enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and camping, hosting neighborhood backyard cookouts, and spending time with his family and friends.  He has two dogs; a St. Bernard mix named Genny, and a Chihuahua named Tony.

Sara: Sara has been with the clinic since July 2020 and is currently in the position of Practice Manager. Sara has previously worked as a Veterinary Technician but has been at home for the past several years with her 5 kids. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania, however came to Colorado in 2000 to attend CSU for Animal Science. When not at work Sara enjoys watching her kids play soccer, reading and spending time with her rottweiler Maximus.

 Jessica's Cats

Jessica: Jessica and her cats have been coming to our practice since 2010, but she officially joined our team in the summer of 2015.  Jessica is from California, but she really enjoys living in Colorado, and she has been here for years. She graduated from CSU in December of 2012 with a Bachelor’s in Zoology.

When Jessica isn’t working she enjoys working out, reading, going to concerts and hanging out with her three cats-Finn, Jasper, and Niles. 


Val: Val is a Colorado native and a recent graduate from the Front Range Veterinary Technician program. She has been with the clinic since September 2020 and has a passion for small animal medicine and surgery. Outside of the clinic Val enjoys hiking and spending time with her dog Zion and two cats Grizz and Willow. 


Laura: Laura joined the Paws ‘N Claws team in May of 2021. A Colorado native she graduated from Colorado State University with degrees in Biology and Equine Science. Laura loves riding her horse Reign as her dog Olive tags along. Cats Neville and Arya prefer to stay at home and cuddle.


Kaylin: Kaylin is a California native who moved to Colorado in 2018 to get her bachelor's degree in Biology. She is a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Reserves, pursuing a career as an Army Veterinarian. She recently was accepted and is starting vet school in August 2023 at CSU. In her free time, she likes to take her dog Finn on hikes and camp all around the mountain west.
